Method of preparation:
1. Immerse the almonds in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water. They peel off the protective brown film and remain white. Dry in the warm oven, then grind finely in a food processor, or coffee grinder.
2. Prepare the worktop, mixing all the ingredients for the worktop in the food processor (first the liquids, then the dry ingredients, which are easily incorporated).
3. Grease a round cake form with a little butter, line it with flour, then pour the dough and bake over medium heat (180 degrees), until it passes the toothpick test, and on palpation it is quite firm and elastic (my shape is 18.8 cm in diameter and 8 cm high)
4. Leave the countertop to cool, then cut it in 2 horizontally, thus obtaining 2 beautiful green countertops.
5. Prepare the cream from soft butter, sugar, pistachios and finely ground almonds, in which the rest of the ingredients are added (all are mixed well with the help of the vertical mixer, or in the food processor).
6. Fix the first top in the cake ring, syrup it with pineapple compote, then place half of the cream.
7. Lightly place the second top on the cream, syrup with pineapple compote and pour the rest of the cream. Level it nicely and let it cool for 1 hour, until it hardens well.
8. Prepare the icing, mixing whiskey cream with powdered sugar, until a thick composition is obtained, like a fondant.
10. Carefully remove the cake from the mold and place on a grill, placed in a large tray, lined with baking paper.
11. Lightly pour the icing on the cake, from the center to the edges, until the cake is completely covered in icing. if it does not dress well from the beginning, add the icing from the tray and pour it back on the cake, until the cake is completely glazed.
12. Let it cool until the icing hardens a little, decorate the cake with large chopped pistachios, then keep it cold until serving time. It is an extraordinarily fine and fragrant cake, with ice cream taste and an incredible fragrance!

30 under 30: A Prince of the 21st Century
The child held in his arms on the balcony by King Mihai, in a famous snapshot since returning to the country in 1992, already plays an important role in society. His Royal Highness, the third in line to the Romanian throne, after Princess Margaret and her mother, Princess Elena, has lived in Romania for only three years, but has already been involved in important international events and actions, as Romania's representative: participated in the Marmara Economic Summit in Istanbul, was a speaker at the Doha GOALS Forum, accompanied Prince Radu of Romania in economic delegations.
He is also the ambassador to Romania of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a charity that aims to help young people reach their potential regardless of their background, economic or social background. In 2014, Prince Nicholas became a supervisor and evaluator, and in 2015, His Highness hopes to become a leader and trainer in the Award. So far, in Romania, the program is the most successful in all of Europe.
In fact, at this moment, priorities in Prince Nicholas' program are the promotion of education and a healthy lifestyle and he found the opportunity to combine the two in a unique campaign. For this purpose, His Royal Highness founded, together with Curtea Veche Publishing, the Curtea Veche Association, through which it promotes reading among children from all over the country, and in April it participates in a cycling tour of over a thousand kilometers, from Sighetu Marmației to Constanța, to raise funds for the national reading program initiated by the Curtea Veche Association and to donate books. The campaign is called "Children's Cycling Books" and takes place between April 23 and May 3, 2015.
"I wanted to find a way to raise money, which would not involve organizing concerts or galas, as most charities do. I think this tour brings something different and will help us promote reading nationally by encouraging the participation of every member of the local communities we go through. And this is very important: to be able to rely on local communities, which support each other ", His Royal Highness declared for Forbes Romania. Prince Nicolae also emphasizes the importance of reading clubs (which involve plays and discussions), set up after each book donation.
"We try to encourage children to feel attracted to books, reading and the different inner worlds of stories. However, we cannot talk about an impact that we can measure immediately, but, most likely, many years later ", adds His Royal Highness. Prince Nicholas studied management in the UK because he is interested in entrepreneurship and the growth of a service or product, but he also believes in the importance of volunteering.
"I believe that volunteering is something that all people should do, at a certain point in life, because it offers rewards to the soul and the individual, to whom it builds character and generosity. It is important to give something back to your peers. I volunteer, not only for these reasons, but also because it helps me to meet different people, whether it is those who are helped by the charity, or other volunteers from our communities, "says His Royal Highness.
What do the "30 under 30" generations from 2012 to the present look like
In 2013 he started volunteering at Tășuleasa Social where he talked to teenagers about the effects of human actions on nature. He also volunteered in Târgu-Mureș, at the Alpha Transilvană Foundation where he worked with children with disabilities and reading difficulties and where he had "one of the most satisfying and revealing experiences" of his life, as he confesses.
This philosophy also comes from the teachings of his grandfather, King Mihai, who “showed him, through His actions, that you should always do what is right, despite the context and deeds of others. He also showed me how to be altruistic, open and honest with myself, with my neighbors, and even with my country ", adds Prince Nicolae. And what surprised him most in the country he is getting to know better and better and made him feel proud is his generation itself - “I look forward to seeing her grow and change. It is a generation full of motivation, creativity, imagination and the aspiration to change their country for the better ”.
Prince Nicholas of Romania, 30 years old

THE SCANDAL CONTINUES IN THE ROYAL HOUSE. HARD communiqué of PRINCIPAL Nicolae
In a statement issued after the scandal broke out in the Royal House, Prince Nicholas was extremely disappointed by what the Royal House claimed about him.
It is a great regret that these press releases of the Royal House deeply damage, especially in these difficult times, the image of what should mean the Royal House of Romania, its history, moral values and the dignified dress that my grandfather and his ancestors they always tried to live them and keep them.
I, Nicolae, just wanted to see my grandfather and say goodbye, in a calm, respectful way, as it is Christian. I was not left now, nor on other occasions when I wanted to see him. Not even during the period of exile, we, grandfather and nephew, were separated and we both valued this bond of blood. Knowing him so well, I don't think he's the one who decided we shouldn't see each other. On the contrary, I know he would have wanted a lot.
I am disappointed and deeply saddened by the incarceration of the members of the Royal House as well as my mother, by the ease and disrespect with which they actually throw aggressive, defamatory and unjustified communiqués to the press, now, in these moments we would be noble. proof of respect and let's get over who knows what personal ambitions.
For me, my grandfather remains the depository of moral values that I choose to respect and embrace. Out of respect for him and my predecessors, for the history they have written, I will not be discredited by these unfortunate and meaningless games. I remind everyone that the love and respect of a people is gained, it is not obtained by force ", it is shown in Nicolae's communiqué.
